AD Advisors Releases In-Depth Study Analyzing the
College Football Transfer Portal
AD Advisors released “The Portal Puzzle: Is It Right for College?” - the most comprehensive research study into the College Football Transfer Portal ever done. The White Paper, which includes the most comprehensive research into the portal ever published, takes a deep dive into over 800 FBS football student-athlete portal entrants dating back to the 2020-2021 portal windows. It explores critical metrics that include how many times the student-athlete entered the portal, how many teams the student-athlete played for in their career, and whether or not the student-athlete transferred up in competition, down in competition, or remained on the same level. This research study reveals trends, patterns, and insights to better understand this "new normal" dominating college athletics.
Are You Ready?
To help ADs deal with all the changes, AD Advisors recommend that athletic departments create an equivalent HR Department inside their programs aimed at retaining the student-athletes they have. The “HR Department” needs to focus on retention, benefits, workplace environment, and other matters the private sector has focused on for decades to keep their workforce.
